    activists and game changers who make a difference and initiate a digital rebellion

WelkerMedia Foundation was started as a non-profit part of the WM company in 2014 with a mission to support creative youth and members of our community. Today it's an annual fellowship program that selects and supports the next game changers #Under25 who shape digital landscape through creative ventures, digital activism, social movements and socialpreneurship. Overview
WelkerMedia Foundation grants limited amount of projects that were featured by our selection committee. Awards include: exclusive mentoring and support, media coverage and exposure within our outlets, limited grants for individuals up to $15.000, specific funding options up to $100.000 from our partners.

Eligibility
Our awards and fellowship are exclusive to young creatives in the fields of digital activism, socialprenership, creativity and art. To be eligible, applicants must identify as persons under 25 years.

The Selection Process
Our selection committee is formed from a group of community councils, WelkerMedia staff, and external experts. The committee reviews all applications submitted within the specific period and evaluates each project based on a number of criteria.

Our Guidelines

Who can apply?

The #Warmplace (WelkerMedia™ Foundation) accepts request from individuals under 25 years who represent specific works, projects or ventures in fields of Digital Activism and Creativity.


Can you list the categories that were previously successfully granted or supported?

Sure. Digital Activism: social and public projects, activist campaigns or initiatives, nonprofits. Creativity: Art works and projects, media projects (including magazines and crowd-based media), creative technologies and solutions (including education and human potential).


My request does not fall under the fields listed above. Can I still apply?

Sorry, we only grant, support and fund projects related to digital activism, creativity and related ventures.


We are startup or organization seeking financial assistance. Are we ellegible for funding?

We don't grant or fund ordinary startups or business organizations, excepting specific social, education or human potential technologies. Our main focus is talented individuals, socially-significant projects, ventures or technologies.


How old do I have to apply?

The applicant's full age must be 25 years or younger.


Can I apply from [country name]?

Currently we accept requests from 5 countries, including: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, France, Russia.


What restrictions are there for project nominated to the Fellowship?

There are no specific restrictions, if your project meets all the requirements listed above.


What happens after I submit my application?

Shortly after submitting your online application, you will receive a confirmation email, and the selection committee will review your application to make sure that you are eligible to apply for the WelkerMedia Foundation grants or support. Each application is thoroughly reviewed by the selection committee team.


When are selected projects announced?

Due to an excessive number of applications terms of announce dates may slightly differ, but usually we try to finalize it to november 15.


How will I find out that I was featured?

We will inform you in case your application is selected.


What types of grants you provide for featured projects?

Our winners get grants up to $15.000 and specific funding options up to $100.000 from our partners. Besides that, we provide such options as media coverage, exclusing free mentoring and other support. Usually it depends on your project's specifics and needs.


I wasn't selected last year. Can I apply again?

Absolutely, applicants are welcome to apply once per year. At the same time any applicants who submit multiple applications in the year may be disqualified.


Does WelkerMedia Foundation accept volunteers?
