Saint Hoax, a.k.a. Syrian, has created a new series entitled “Make America Misogynistic Again”. The artist has taken vintage American print ads from the 1940s-1970s and replaced their slogans with controversial Donald Trump quotes about women.

“The beauty of me is that I’m very rich”

You must be from another planet, if you have never heard the president’s outrageous sayings! Just in case you are, let’s refresh some of them.

In early December 2015, Trump called for a ban on Muslims entering the US in response to a recent shooting spree in San Bernardino by two Muslims, who the FBI said had been radicalised. It has caused global outrage and a petition to ban Trump from Britain was debated in Parliament after it reached more than 100,000 signatures.

Trump shared his kindness and love on New Year’s Eve: “Happy New Year to all, including to my many enemies and those who have fought me and lost so badly they just don’t know what to do. Love!”

At least Donald knows who is him and shows some self awareness: “One of the key problems today is that politics is such a disgrace. Good people don’t go into government.”

“You’re disgusting”

Trump is also a well-known sexist. His statements about women need special attention.

One of the creepiest is “I’ve said if Ivanka weren’t my daughter, perhaps I’d be dating her.”

In the past, Trump has also been passionate in sharing his Twitter views on the relationship between actors Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.

His answer for Meryl Streep Golden Globes speech was really mature: “Meryl Streep, one of the most over-rated actresses in Hollywood, doesn’t know me but attacked last night at the Golden Globes. She is a Hillary flunky who lost big. For the 100th time, I never “mocked” a disabled reporter (would never do that) but simply showed him “groveling” when he totally changed a 16 year old story that he had written in order to make me look bad. Just more very dishonest media!”

“You know, it really doesn’t matter what the media write as long as you’ve got a young, and beautiful, piece of ass”

Taking into account all the president’s statements, Saint Hoax has created a project “Make America Misogynistic Again”.

“I decided to match the visuals with sexist Trump quotes and show them to my friends without actually telling them where I got the quotes from,” Saint Hoax explains. “I told them that these were the actual advertisements that were published in the 1950s and ‘60s and they believed it. When I revealed the truth, they were in complete shock.”

The headlines and visuals strongly complement each other, although there’s almost a 30-year gap between them.
