To stay «anti-fashion» is an art too and needs lots of skills both creative and faith in your moves. MULTITASK is a good example of the case: the team of designers and DJs are always ready to shake our reality.

MULTITASK`s rave was a few weeks ago holding its 14th edition at Studio 301 NYC, a gallery and occasional event space in the Industrial Park section of East Williamsburg. While the event 12 designers plus six DJs and live performers were opening from the afternoon to 11PM for lots of suppliers and people who were interested in «anti-fashion.» All the space was magic, so strange and really untamed. It was about mixing of flashy club kids and cyber goths, genius singer Xhosa with green lipsticks and classic Bushwick types, bright green lights and Pictureplane, whose clothing line Alien Body was on sale at the rave.

MULTITASK is a nice example of «anti-fashion» because it shows that these styles are different from the basic and, obviously, they are far from fashion boards but you need only one look to understand how it`s difficult to create it and produce more than unusual ideas. The most main propose is breaking boundaries of standards and boring rules. So it can be a little bit or too amplify  with emphasis on form over function but it`s a way to communication with people`s minds.

By the way, a long velvet trench coat with an exposed leg opening courtesy of Elkel not only deconstructed the functionality of outer wear but it managed to look like an article of clothing fit for both medieval royalty and a character from «The Matrix.» Also, at MULTITASK everybody could find lovers of Harper’s Bazaar – the echo hats by H E I D I L E E.
